At Canteradoors, customer satisfaction is our number one priority. We strive to provide our clients with superior service, quality, and communication. In order to ensure a clear agreement and understanding of the Canteradoors terms and conditions, please review the following content prior to placing an order through our website. Access and uses of this website are subject to all applicable laws, along with the terms listed below:
WARRANTY / DISCLAIMER
Canteradoors guarantees that all iron doors, windows, and other products sold through our website will be free from defect in material and craftsmanship for a period of one year from date of receipt. Our customer service team will replace any substandard product or parts that have been deemed defective (within one years from the date of sale on the frame of the door, one year on moving parts, one year on glass for any defect on center seal excluding scratches, broken glass, etc.) at Canteradoors’ sole discretion. Broken glass is not covered.
We ask you to keep in mind that exposure to natural elements and frequent use is expected to cause Canteradoors, windows, and other products purchased and ordered through our site to naturally age. Although CanteradoorsDoors are galvanized we do not recommend direct exposure to water, any damages or changes to the products brought on by frequent use or exposure to the elements is considered an organic process that cannot be prevented, and is not thought to be a defect that is covered by the terms and conditions of this site. Any exposure to moisture/water may lead to rust as this is a metal product if not wiped immediately. DO not us water to wash the doors as this will lead to the door rusting. Canteradoors Doors cannot be held liable for any damages due to exposure to water/moisture.
Canteradoors products are hand forged and individually finished in our factory. Minor differences in these products are normal and to be expected to achieve the “hand forged” look, so this will not be considered a defect. No warranty against rust. Rust is a direct result of water. Rust arises from a lack of an overhang protecting your door or window, or from directly hosing or washing off your door with water. All of our products require an overhang to prevent any type of water damage. All Canteradoors are imported from México.
Canteradoors does not guarantee that the content presented on this site fulfills building codes, ordinances, or regulations for any specific application or any particular jurisdiction, without Canteradoors’ written agreement. We have carefully created the content and material on our site to depict our products precisely as they are. We strive to give our clients an authentic representation of the product they are ordering and expecting. At Canteradoors, we are frequently updating our content and inventory. As a result, Canteradoors cannot and does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the information regarding pricing, services, specifics, images, availability or services. Canteradoors is not responsible for any city or state codes regarding the doors (ADA, Thermal Broken (sweating or ice), Hurricane Tested, Swing Codes, etc.). THERMALLY BROKEN DOOR (*CUSTOMER TO VERIFY W/ BUILDING CODE IF TEMPERATURES MAY GET 25 DEGREES OR LESS INCLUDING CHILL FACTOR) Bubbling paint or scratches that occur around the lock area is caused by improper installation methods or techniques used to correct the installation: The following are common issues with installers causing damage to the finish around the lock areas: 1. The third hole drilled by the installer for the lower lock area is not aligned. The damage is caused when installers over tighten the lock to compensate the unaligned hole that was drilled. The tightening of the lock causes pressure on the door finish leading to marks and scratches around that area. The tighten of the lock also causes slight bowing of the lock in the center. 2. Attempting to straighten or align the lock after the screws have been installed on the lock. Aligning a lock should be done before the screws are put in. 3. Multiple attempts to install the lock.
All Doors with knockdown sidelights and/or transoms come unassembled and may require holes to be drilled to complete installation. Holes may need to be drilled through metal on door jamb and/or sidelight. Doors, jambs, sidelights and/or transoms may come with pre-drilled holes that may not be required to use, instead, new holes may be required to be made by the installer to complete the installation. Will need to be sealed with silicon before assembly. Title and risk of loss to products passes to Buyer on shipment from our facility or the date that storage fees start. Loss or damage that occurs after title of product passes to the buyer is the responsibility of the Buyer. Designs may alter or change if a screen is added to the door or order (this is most commonly the case with doors with knuckles).
Our express limited warranty sets forth our maximum liability for our products. No one is authorized to modify or expand this express limited warranty. The absolute limit of our liability is the product purchase price from Canteradoors. We shall not be liable for special, indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages of any kind and all such claims are waived to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Your sole or exclusive remedy with respect to any and all losses and damages resulting from any cause whatsoever as specified herein. All Canteradoors product is sold “as is” and as such Canteradoors disclaims any and all implied warranties. We make no other warranty or guarantee, either express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and of fitness for a particular purpose to the original purchaser or to any subsequent user of the product, except as expressly contained herein. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the goods is with the buyer. In the event state or provincial law precludes exclusion or limitation of implied warranties, the duration of any such warranties shall be no longer than, and the time and manner of presenting any claim thereon shall be the same as, that provided in the express warranty stated herein.
We reserve the right to improve products, make changes in specifications, designs and options without prior notice and without incurring obligation.
COLD WEATHER DISCLAIMER
Due to the construction method of our standard iron doors, they are, by design, subject to possible thermal transfer, which could result in condensation build up on the interior portion of the door during extremely cold time periods.
Metal is a conductor by nature. Therefore, if you do not have a thermal barrier in the middle of your window or door from inside to outside, the cold will conduct from outside in. Because of this, on days of extreme cold, foam is not a sufficient barrier, and a thermal barrier will be needed so that the cold will not transfer from the outside of the home in.
Our thermal break technology used on our thermal break windows and doors make use of a piece of carbon in the middle of the door, preventing extreme cold and heat from transferring into your home from the outside.
During the winter months when there are sustained periods of extreme cold, when temperatures get well below the 25 degree threshold, is when you may notice the above stated thermal transfer. There are many factors that come into play, so it is always best to check with your contractor about building codes in your specific area.
TO PREVENT LEAKAGE
For all door and window orders, customers will need to make sure there is an sufficient overhang. The overhang needs to be the same width and height of the door or window (starting from outside dimensions of the doors and windows).
Even if you have an overhang, it is also recommended for the window and doors to be out-swing to help with weather sealing because of unpredictable combination of side wind and rain (in-swing windows are vulnerable to leakage because of bottom threshold).
Buyer understands that water rating is relative and even the highest rated door might leak under severe, unusual, or unforeseen climatic conditions.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
In no event will Canteradoors be liable to clients or anyone else for any incidental, consequential, special or indirect damage. This includes but is not limited to trading losses or damages, or lost profits that result from inconvenience or delay or loss of the use of the information related to this site, even if caused by the negligence of Canteradoors and even in the event that the information has been informed of or is otherwise aware of the possibility of errors therein. Since the limitation or exclusion of incidental or consequential damages is not allowed in certain states, the above-mentioned limitation of liability will not apply in particular jurisdictions or cases. In no event will Canteradoors’ full liability to a user for all damages, losses, and causes of action exceed the amount paid by the user, if any, for accessing this site.
INDEMNITY
The client agrees to indemnify and hold Canteradoors and its affiliates harmless from and against any and all liability, claims, losses, costs, and expenses including but not limited to attorneys’ fees that rise from the client’s violation or breach of these Terms and Conditions, arising from the client’s violation of any third party’s rights such as trademark, copyright, proprietary and privacy rights, or regulation or ordinance. This indemnification and hold harmless obligation will survive the termination of these Terms and Conditions.

SHIPPING
Please review the following information regarding Canteradoors shipping policies and procedures. At Canteradoors, we do our best to ensure a smooth and seamless process every step of the way, from ordering to delivery. LTL Truck Deliveries (Greater than 75 miles of our showrooms)
Shipping fees are determined by the weight and size of your item, along with the destination. Truck deliveries will be shipped via common carrier. A quote for shipping fees will be provided with pleasure for your order upon your request. All we need to provide you with a quote is the shipping zip code along with a list of products you are looking to order. At Canteradoors, we do everything in our power to ensure that we deliver your products in the shortest time and at the best rate available.
Please note that as the customer, you are solely responsible for any costs or fees (including but not limited to storage and re-delivery) that is a result of the inability to take the delivery on the date and time it has been scheduled. The shipping company will contact the customer directly in order to schedule the delivery. For your convenience, a tracking number and any other delivery information will be given to you once your order ships from Canteradoors. After your approval for shipment, if for any reason you cannot accept delivery of the door when it arrives to the designation terminal near you, you will be responsible for any storage fees charged by the shipping company. Canteradoors will not be able to authorize your delivery without collecting those storage fees in advance.
All residential deliveries, although Canteradoors will include a lift-gate on the shipment, will require you to have a minimum of 3-4 able bodied persons on site to offload. While the shipping company may be able to use the lift gate, it is against LTL Safety Guidelines for them to operate a lift gate if there is any overhang. Most of our products are longer than any standard lift gate, which is why you will need your able bodied persons on site to offload from inside the truck in the event that the driver does not feel comfortable operating the lift gate. It is the customer’s responsibility to have enough assistance to disassemble the crate and take the product to the designated area. Please note that this is a physical job for more than two people in good physical shape.
Business/commercial deliveries will not have a lift gate. All products will be delivered curbside, or to a loading dock. If a loading dock is not available, a fork lift is required. Please keep in mind that the products being delivered will not be unpacked, set up, or placed in a particular area within your home or business.
Normal delivery hours for large item shipping are from 8 am to 5 pm local time. Please expect a transit time of three to nine business days when your product is being shipped via truck delivery. This approximate transit time is based on the location and conditions of the delivery. Truck deliveries to Hawaii and Alaska require additional transit time, if available.
It is important to note that the customer does not have to pay any amount to the delivery personnel at the time of delivery or at any other time. Canteradoors is responsible for making direct payments to the shipping and delivery vendors. Any and all payments made by the customer to the carrier company or its representatives, for any additional or existing services, will be at the customer’s sole discretion and cost. You agree that Canteradoors will not refund such payments under any circumstances.
Please note that as the customer, you are solely responsible for any costs or fees (including but not limited to storage and re-delivery) that is a result of the inability to take the delivery on the date and time it has been scheduled. The shipping company will contact the customer directly in order to schedule the delivery for residential deliveries only. For your convenience, a tracking number and any other delivery information will be given to you once your order ships from Canteradoors.
